Who doesn’t know George Hotz – the infamous iPhone and PS3 hacker who grabbed the limelight for quite a few months during 2010, when he hacked Sony’s playstation, and later on Sony settled things in court of law during 2011.
Was He the Man Behind Sony’s Misery?
Apparently George Hotz had dug pretty deep into Sony’s roots, as almost 10 hacks came Sony’s way in 2011, notably 1 million user accounts credentials exposed by LulzSec; so it’s quite obvious that Hotz has some nerves, and although he had no connections with LulzSec, he definitely knew Sony’s weak pulse, and exposed the same to fellow hackers.
The iPhone Hacking Glory
He has also been the star in iPhone hacking arena, and until jailbreaking became legal, he had also been one of the top individuals in Apple’s hit-list to be sued. Unfortunately for Apple (and fortunately for George), government decided to turn down Apple’s plea, and legalized jailbreaking since it was claimed to be user’s right to do anything with the iDevice after they had paid full money for it, and no financial obligations with Apple. George has issued tons of jailbreak apps to date, and he holds a special name in iPhone jailbreaking world.
And, now George Hotz has been hired by Facebook as per the latest news – we don’t quite know about this news officially – but we feel that a giant like Facebook has got everyone reason to hire George Hotz – you can say at least for the heck of ensuring that he doesn’t target FB
